Time to unpause and refocus

Hello Squirly Girl followers. I apologize for being so neglectful of my blog lately. I have had some extra demands on my time and since this is a hobby for me it had to be set aside for a bit. I believe that I should be back to semi-normal now. I have missed a ton in the bloggy world and been a bad design team member but I have made a commitment to myself to refocus.

I don't know about many of you but I am in denial that cold weather is coming our way. I guess my theory is that if I don't acknowledge it it won't happen, lol. So when I made this project for you maybe it was my subconscious finally accepting the fact that it is going to be cold for the next  8 or 9 months, lol.

I made this layout for you using last years (yes, for those of you that have been following I'm still on my paper purchasing strike) Echo Park Wintertime collection. I just love the colors of this collection. Non traditional Christmas colors are always right up my alley. For my stamped sentiment above the picture I used K Andrew Design Art Stamps Winter Wishes set. You can purchase these sets by clicking on the link to go to her online store.

Now to the craft room to continue my commitment to be unpaused :)

Getting Cricky Simply Sunday

Welcome back Getting Cricky Fans! I love Simply Sunday's because you ladies are so kind and thoughtful! If your here just by random chance please make sure you check out all the projects made by the fabulous Getting Cricky Design Team, these girls are super inspirational.  We all love using our K Andrew Design Art stamps to make up fun projects to inspire you and Kristal's designs make it just all too easy. With her mix and match style of designing it is always easy peasy make the  perfect saying for you project. Hop on over to K Andrew Designs online store {HERE} to pick up all the stamps you will need for this holiday season. If you have a stamper friend I promise you they would love these as a gift!

So this week Kristal asked us to create a treat holder of some sort for you. This gave me the perfect opportunity to make a bag for my son to collect all his trick or treat goodies in. I'm not sure the bag will be big enough however since we live on the most popular street in town to trick or treat on. Maybe it will be a hint to the candy givers, lol!

I used My K Andrew Design Art Stamps Fall-o-ween set to stamp the perfect sentiment on my first chipboard sticker. All of my paper scraps and chipboard stickers on this project are from the BoBunny Whoo-ligans collection from last year.  I made my flower from some Hobby Lobby ribbon and a Gluber then I just added an American Crafts brad to the center of it.

Now Don't forget to make any fall treat holder and link it up to our Simply Sunday Challenge over on the Getting Cricky blog. Its fun to see all the projects you ladies come up with. I can't wait to see what you come up with :)

Bee A Little Spooky

Hello my happy followers :)  I'm sorry that I haven't posted in a while, I have been a little preoccupied lately. No excuse just plain busy.... I'm happy to report that we have had a major break through in our house today that any parent can appreciate. My 3 year old finally decided to poop on the potty! LOL, I bet you really wanted to know that :)  Anyway on to my project for today. I'm sticking with the layouts because you guys seem to really like them and its a good challenge for me. Today's layout is for this years Halloween picture of my youngest son who is going as a bumble bee.

All of my patterned paper on this layout are by Authentique Paper Company. I am in love with this new company, the quality of their paper is fantastic! Now I wasn't sure about the color combination on this layout when I first made it but it really has grown on me and I love it now. I was afraid that the bumble bees would make this layout look too girly so I tried to give it a boy feel with its colors.

Here is a close up of the stamped title on this layout. I used a combination of fabulous K Andrew Design Art Stamps. The "Bee" is from Kristal's Winged Things set and the rest is from her Fall-O-ween stamp set. I love how I can mix and match the different words from her sets to get the perfect saying every time! Please visit K Andrew's online store and help her support some worthy causes! She makes it easy for you to do this by donating $1 from every single stamp set sold to a chosen charity.

Kristal also has a Design team call on her blog Getting Cricky right now. Please visit {THIS POST} for benefits and information on applying. Kristal has a GREAT team and you will be joining a group of ladies that is out of this world! We love to support each other :)
